As regular readers will know, we’re very impressed with the Hyundai i40 Tourer. But a load-lugger is not the meat of the market for car makers, so we’ve been waiting for the Hyundai i40 saloon to arrive. And now it has.
Audi will offer a hybrid version of its Q5 premium SUV in the US starting in late 2010, says Wolfgang Hatz, head of powertrain development for the Volkswagen group. If the car is a success in the US, Audi said it may launch it in Europe. In an interview at the auto show here last month, Hatz said Audi must offer a hybrid model to compete with rival vehicles that already offer the technology, such as the Lexus RX 400h.
We have what appears to be official video of the Porsche 918 Spyder being previewed by a private audience in New York. The Porsche 918 Spyder is hardly a secret, but all the cars we’ve seen so far have been concept cars; prototypes evolving as the 918 Spyder moves from concept to production.
